Couach creates the surprise at this fall’s 2013 Cannes boat show and goes where it is not expected: the shipyard will launch a high-speed, 13 metre day- boat brimming with personality and technical prowess. We would not necessarily have expected to see Couach, the constructor of 20 to 50 metre pleasure yachts, in this domain. Yet who better to design a high-performance day- boat than a shipyard that has been supplying customs and marinas throughout the world for decades? Besides motor yachts, Couach also designs and builds a range of professional civilian and military boats, recognized for their high level of technicality (going by the name Plascoa). The idea was simple but audacious! Teams from the shipyard and designer Franck Reynaud tackled the task of transforming the Plascoa FIC (Fast Interceptor Craft) into an aggressive, high-tech pleasure boat. The result is remarkable, and will appeal to the virile nature of those who get a kick out of extreme sensations and ultimate playthings.

Porto Montenegro announce two big news for Cannes and MYS 2013

VIRB è caratterizzata da un design dedicato, ed affusolato. Il pulsante a scorrimento rende realmente semplice registrare video HD, basta spostare in avanti il tasto REC per iniziare la registrazione e immortalare immagini. La batteria ricaricabile al litio consente di realizzare video in HD (1080p) fino a tre ore con un’unica ricarica, e può essere facilmente sostituita anche in movimento. L’obiettivo WideVü cattura tutta l’azione e grazie all’alta risoluzione del display Chroma è più semplice gestire i menu, cambiare le impostazioni, e rivedere i filmati. Inoltre, il display utilizza una tecnologia a basso consumo energetico per risparmiare la carica della batteria. Lo schermo da 1,4 pollici usa la luce naturale dell’ambiente circostante (invece di una retroilluminazione a batteria drenante) per illuminare il display e questo lo rende facilmente visibile anche in piena luce.

 

VIRB è così resistente da essere in grado di immortalare anche le attività più estreme. Il robusto guscio esterno di VIRB le garantisce una affidabile impermeabilità IPX-7 (può resistere infatti a un’immersione accidentale in un metro d’acqua fino a 30 minuti), è quindi lo strumento ideale per effettuare video durante attività sportive come lo sci e il kayak, il windsurfing, il kitesurfing senza la necessità di applicare un’ulteriore custodia protettiva e senza avere paura di provocare danni al dispositivo. Per riprendere le proprie avventure subacquee è disponibile una custodia impermeabile, fino a 5 atm, venduta separatamente, ma sono tanti gli accessori progettati per offrire maggiore fruibilità della VIRB come i sistemi di aggancio per i manubri, i caschi, le tavole da surf e molto altro. VIRB si applica facilmente a qualsiasi sostegno grazie agli accessori di aggancio che la mantengono in posizione ferma e di sicurezza impedendo lo spostamento in situazioni con alte vibrazioni. É inoltre disponibile un adattatore di montaggio compatibile con terze parti che rende immediato l’utilizzo della VIRB per chi già possiede un action cam.
Gli utenti non dovranno essere operatori cinematografici professionisti per realizzare filmati di alta qualità con la VIRB. Le caratteristiche avanzate del dispositivo assicurano infatti un’alta qualità delle riprese, anche prima che inizi il processo di montaggio. Lo stabilizzatore delle immagini digitali corregge l’instabilità della telecamera e consente riprese più fluide, mentre la funzione di correzione della distorsione della lente dà agli utenti la possibilità di rimuovere automaticamente l’effetto fish-eye che è comune nelle action camera. Oltre ai video di alta qualità, VIRB può essere usata per scattare foto fino a 16 megapixel con le opzioni di scatto sequenziale. Mentre è in corso la registrazione di un video, con VIRB si possono anche scattare fotografie di altissima qualità. VIRB inoltre è dotata di un’uscita micro HDMI per una comoda riproduzione dei video e una slot microSD che può ospitare una scheda fino a 64GB (una microSD da 64 GB può contenere fino a 16 ore di video in 1080p).

VIRB Elite non solo possiede tutte queste caratteristiche ma è anche dotata di Gps ad alta sensibilità, accelerometro, altimetro e WiFi. Il WiFi consente agli utenti di connettersi alle applicazioni gratuite per iPhone e Android. VIRB Elite permette di creare profili personalizzati, così che gli utenti possono tenere traccia della propria posizione, velocità, altitudine, frequenza cardiaca (sensori venduti separatamente) e altro ancora durante la registrazione. Questi dati possono essere analizzati direttamente sul dispositivo, oppure possono essere inclusi nei video durante il processo di editing per portare la propria esperienza con la VIRB alzando l’asticella ad un nuovo e più alto livello.

Inoltre, con la funzionalità Ski, VIRB Elite è in grado di riconoscere la differenza tra la discesa lungo le piste e la risalita attraverso la seggiovia o lo skilifit. Attraverso questa funzione VIRB Elite inizia in automatico a riprendere durante la discesa e si pone in modalità standby durante la risalita, allungando così la durata della batteria e lo spazio in memoria. In questo modo inoltre si prevengono eventuali dimenticanze di registrare durante le discese. VIRB pensa quindi alle riprese mentre gli utenti possono concentrarsi sull’attività che stanno svolgendo.

VIRB consente a molti clienti attuali di sfruttare l’intero panorama di prodotti e servizi Garmin. Oltre all’accessorio opzionale per il controllo da remoto (che sarà disponibile da Gennaio 2014), anche Edge® 810, fēnix™, quatix™, la nuova gamma Oregon®, possono controllare la VIRB consentendo agli utenti di iniziare, fermare la registrazione e di scattare fotografie dal dispositivo attraverso la connettività ANT+ wireless (per la lista completa dei dispositivi compatibili, visita il sito garmin.com/virb). Sempre attraverso ANT+, gli utenti sono in grado di monitorare i diversi dispositivi collegati alla VIRB. Basta far scorrere il pulsante in avanti per registrare dal dispositivo principale e la registrazione partirà in automatico anche da tutti gli altri dispositivi connessi alla VIRB. VIRB Elite è compatibile con altri sensori con connettività ANT+ come il cardiofrequenzimetro, il sensore di cadenza e il sensore della temperatura tempe™. Questi dati possono essere inclusi nei video durante il processo di editing, o possono essere osservati sul display della VIRB Elite.

A complemento di VIRB Elite, Garmin lancia sul mercato un’applicazione per la preview, la riproduzione e la gestione delle funzionalità da remoto su smartphone, insieme a un software gratuito per Pc per modificare e caricare i video girati. Con questo software gli utenti potranno facilmente montare i filmati e aggiungere i dati registrati per poi condividerli con parenti e amici o caricarli direttamente sui social network come YouTube, Facebook e Instagram.

RMK MARINE AT MONACO YACHT SHOW 2013

Also this year RMK Marine, the Turkish superyacht builder, will be attending the Monaco Yacht Show, scheduled between September 25-28, 2013. On this prestigious occasion the concept and a scalemodel of the new 50-metre RMK 5000 Explorer will be unveiled to the press, while the 45-metre Karia, one of the latest builds of the yard, will be available for visits aboard together with a debut: the Oyster 125 S/Y Twilight and Oyster 100 S/Y Penelope, built at the Tuzla facilities of the yard. The stand of RMK Marine can be found next to the Quai Chicane 3 entrance.

Karia

In collaboration with Hot Lab Yacht&Design, RMK Marine conceived two versions of the 5000 Explorer: the True Luxury Explorer and the Leisure version, both of which boast modern lines, soft curves and have a great deal of flexibility to suit the individual client requirements and the tastes of the current market.

The full displacements under 500 GT hulls on both designs provide longer-than-usual range cruising thanks to the optional diesel/electric propulsion package. Both projects accommodate up to 10 guests plus owner and 8 crew plus the Captain. On the True Luxury Explorer concept there is a vast aft deck specially designed to accommodate a tender of up to 10.2m, while the area beneath is dedicated to underwater and on-water excursion toys including quadski, diving room, hovpods and jet-skis. This area can also be converted into a “touch and go” helicopter deck which will give the owner and his guests the freedom of exploring even the most secluded areas, while on the Leisure concept the helipad is replaced by a 6 meter wide swimming pool and sunbeds creating an environment of peace and quiet whilst enjoying the ultimate cruising experience.

5000 Explorer

The two layouts designed by Hot Lab have both four (4) large cabins in the central part of lower deck with en suite bathroom, perfect for the actual charter market, while the crew has four (4) double cabins designed for MCA’s Large Yacht Code 3. The layout of the upper deck interiors is identical for the two versions. In both versions – on the back of the wheelhouse – Captain’s cabin is situated. The sundeck is more formal on the True Luxury Explorer version with a big rounded dining table placed in an inside/out area. The Leisure version has a sundeck conceived for full relax with a jacuzzi in the forward part, comfortable loose furnitures in the middle and sunbeds on the back.

The hull can be designed to “ice class standards” to overcome the harshest marine environments. The propulsion, hull design and interior layout have been arranged and conceived to give to owner and guests the best possible cruising range and sea-keeping capabilities. In order to give the best range, RMK Marine will provide for two propulsion packages: a diesel/electric option or a diesel only system with no interruption on longer voyages such as transatlantic or transpacific crossings.

The RMK 4500 KARIA will be on display at the Monaco Yacht Show for the second year at Quai de l’ Hirondelle – N11. Multi-nominated and honoured with the Judges Special Commendation prize at the World Superyacht Awards last year, Karia is a 45-metre yacht designed by Ron Holland, more than an authority a living legend indeed in the yacht design field. Designed for the experiencedyacht owner for long distance voyaging, Karia has been built to high quality specifications with long term low maintenance as priority requirements. Particular attention has been given to ensure an efficient and sea kindly hull design an exceptional interior volume for a 45m yacht. Her features and facilities provide the guests with a wonderful experience on board.

The general arrangement of Karia, conceived by Design Unlimited, has been designed to address a variety of cabin use possibilities, considering clients with children through to large groups for family and business use. With capacity for 12 guests and 11 crew, this yacht also caters for the high-end charter market.

Designed by Ed Dubois and Oyster, S/Y Twilight is the first 125 model produced by Oyster Yachts. Dubois Naval Architects and Oyster teamed up in 2007 to design the 100 and 125 Oyster Superyachts, choosing RMK Marine shortly afterwards as builder of these sailing giants. The design brief was for a concept that could carry superyacht luxury and style but be capable of being built as a production yacht, with greater efficiency and speed. One of the most interesting features of S/Y Twilight is the flybridge, which is a relatively new concept on sailing yachts. This flybridge uses the same superstructure as the raised saloon, but also offers an upper flybridge with twin helms, lounge, wet bar and sunbathing area. At approx 200 tonnes lightship displacement, the Oyster 125 by Dubois is a very substantial superyacht, offering a stunning performance in absolute comfort.

S/Y Twilight features exceptional interiors and, thanks to RMK Marine, demonstrates world class workmanship with the highest classification.
