Varato il nuovo Benetti FB263 MY Ocean Paradise

PORTO MONTENEGRO Regent Hotel in Porto Montenegro NEW opening

Porto Montenegro, the Mediterranean’s leading luxury yacht homeport and marina village, announces the development of a luxury hotel and residences in partnership with Regent Hotels and Resorts‚ one of the world’s most prestigious global luxury hospitality brands.

This spectacular waterfront property will be the first Regent in the region and will employ over 150 people; it will also be the first five star hotel in the Boka Bay, the natural harbour in which Porto Montenegro is located.

Inspired by Venetian aesthetics, the five-floor building was designed by ReardonSmith Architects with interiors by Tino Zervudachi of MHZ in Paris. A central, double-height atrium on the ground floor will have expansive views of the sea and surrounding mountains, leading out onto a tranquil water garden with a submerged stone catwalk connected to a ‘private island’ for exclusive events and dining. A ground-floor café, fine dining restaurant, cigar lounge and library bar will also provide a range of dining and entertaining options.

On the upper levels, the 80 hotel rooms, suites and multi-room residences will offer sophisticated, contemporary living spaces notable for their multifunctional design. Residences range from studios to two-floor duplexes and penthouses, the latter with private plunge pools and rooftop terraces. All residences benefit from the hotel’s range of services and can be included in the rental pool, either in their entirety or in parts by closing off self-contained living areas, giving the owner maximum flexibility. A mock-up room has already been created at Porto Montenegro to illustrate what the nautical chic Tino Zervudachi room interiors will look like upon completion.

Facilities will include two swimming pools, a restaurant, café, library bar, cigar lounge, various event function rooms and a full service conference center; as well as a signature Regent Spa & Fitness center.

The Regent brand is recognised worldwide as being synonymous with glamour, sophistication and impeccable service. Combining the operational excellence and hospitality expertise of Regent Hotels with the spectacular setting of Porto Montenegro will further reinforce the country’s position as an emerging high-end tourism destination and encourage international luxury travellers to visit throughout the year.

Benetti Superyacht Crystal 140’ BY002 M/Y Luna launched yesterday in Viareggio.

March 14th, saw in the morning the launch at Viareggio of the second Benetti Crystal 140’ BY002, Luna. An event held on the grounds of the Azimut-Benetti Group’s Lusben shipyard, located adjacent to the Benetti headquarter. Following the usual preliminary steps, including the traditional breaking of the bottle on the hull, the yacht was lowered into the water, a ceremony attended by Owner, technical personnel, workers, and all Benetti Management and Staff involved in building this magnificent vessel that stands out for its modern and innovative design.

After the launch Ceremony, Luna proceeded along the canal to the Darsena Italia – Via Coppino in Viareggio – where Benetti organized an private ceremony starting from 7pm in order to celebrate the delivery with the Owner and all his guests.

Benetti Crystal 140’ BY002, Luna measures 42 metres in length and 9 metres in width at full beam. Its displacement is 375 tonnes. The engines are twin Cat C32 Acer delivering 1081 kW. And with a fuel reserve of 58,000 litres, the Crystal has a conventional oceanic range of 4,000 miles.

Luna offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 suites. A repartitioning of the lower deck made it possible, thanks also to an extremely functional engine room that offers more space for four guests cabins – two with double beds and two with twin beds, and for the crew area, featuring unheard-of volumes for the comfort of the staff on board.

As for every Benetti mega yacht, this Crystal 140′ is one of a kind. Its inspiring concepts are a special relation with the sea and the love for outdoor life. Comfort, style and functionality characterize the numerous dining areas and lounges of the sun deck and upper deck. The interiors look the sea through large windows.

Among several innovations, the stern area offers a peculiar reorganization: the garage for tender, jet skis, and other equipment has been moved forward a side, allowing the entire stern area to be dedicated to a beach area that is free of all mechanical equipment and outfitted with a changing room, a shower and a bathroom, a compact galley and several armchairs.

Benetti growth in the Middle East

Benetti, part of the Azimut/Benetti Group, is once again a protagonist of the Dubai Boat Show (March 5th to 9th, 2013), with an exclusive exposition at the Super Yachts Builder’s Association (SYBASS) area.

Nabil El Jammal Mar13

For the occasion the Viareggio based shipyard, which celebrates it’s 140th Anniversary this year, completes another important step in their international expansion towards markets with higher potentiality, and consolidates their presence in the United Arab Emirates area opening a new office in Dubai and appointing Nabil el Jammal as Area Manager for the Middle East.

The opening of a new direct sales point is of particular strategic importance as it covers the Middle East area even more efficiently, consolidating the historic presence of the Azimut/Benetti Group: since the 1980’s one of the first movers in the area.

To best pursue this important objective, Benetti has brought Nabil el Jammal on board. An established professional in the nautical world, with great experience in the Middle East markets, Jammal will manage the commercial office, with direct responsibility for the Arab Gulf Region markets as far as Turkey, including both Egypt and Lebanon.

With a degree in Architecture from Milan Politecnic, and a Master in Yacht Design, Jammal has been involved in the design of numerous yachts and in an ambitious development plan for the Middle East for an important shipyard.

“Nabil has a deep knowledge of the product and the market, in addition to numerous and important relationships in the world of international yachting. The principle aim of Benetti’s direct presence in the area is to maintain relationships with the clients, accompanying them through the complete life cycle of the yacht, from design to construction and delivery, without forgetting the after sales cycle, as a fundamental part of the Benetti philosophy”, said Alberto Perrone da Zara, Benetti Sales Director.

“A consolidated experience in the international markets, great professionalism, and above all the great respect that Nabil el Jammal has earned in the international yachting environment, immediately convinced us that we had found the best professional to accompany Benetti in the execution phase of this important step of our commercial strategy”, commented Vincenzo Poerio, CEO MegaYacht Division.
