BENETTI GROWS IN THE AMERICAS Fabrizio Scerch new Country Manager and new After Sales organization

With the purpose of widening the oversight on the strategic international markets, Benetti, part of the Azimut Benetti Group, is carrying out some important organisational changes that affect the commercial and after sales area; the aim is to strengthen relationships with the network of Brokers and, above all, to enhance customer service as well as Lifetime Customer Care processes.

ImageAs from September 1st, 2013, Fabrizio SCERCH is in charge as Country Manager Americas in Azimut Benetti USA Inc., with the task of managing processes as a whole: sales, marketing and customer satisfaction. With a degree in Mechanical Engineering at La Sapienza University in Rome and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Fabrizio SCERCH has more than 15 years experience in the sales and marketing sector for major multinational brands in the automotive and shipbuilding sectors.

Tommaso BILOTTA, in his role as Area Manager Americas, will retain responsibility for the coordination of sales activities for the Americas as a whole, in order to further strengthen the presence on the market. The Benetti Sales Department remains in the hands of Alberto PERRONE da ZARA.

At the same time, according with the new after sales global strategy introduced in early 2013 named “Benetti_Lifetime Customer Care” , client’s services processes will be strengthened too and even better structured in a new functional area composed by 23 professionals and now coordinated by Alessandro GALLIFUOCO in charge as Quality and After Sales Manager.

Both customers and the product itself will benefit from the synergy between the two areas and from their greater “centrality”, in terms of effectiveness of the service, also thanks to continuous and structured 360° feedback processes.

“The United States, and the Americas in general, are key markets for Benetti and the international experience of Fabrizio Scerch allows us to take an important step forward in Benetti’s policy to oversee the areas with the highest growth rate. The goal is to further consolidate relationships with the network of brokers and, what’s more important, with existing and potential customers, being side by side throughout the yacht’s life-cycle, from its design and construction to final delivery. This all, without forgetting about the after-sales cycle, which has always been a part of Benetti’s philosophy,” commented Vincenzo Poerio –Benetti CEO.

FORT LAUDERDALE INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW 2013. New 107 Cruiser – MY Moni , the Vicem Flagship Vintage model of the yard

Vicem Yachts, Turkish builders of luxury classic motor yachts and mega-yachts, has launched the Cold Molded Epoxy System motoryacht 107’ Cruiser (MY Moni). “Vicem 107 Classic Cruiser is the new flagship of semi-displacement Cruiser line. Designed for long distance cruising, gifted with extremely generous internal volumes and xternal entertainment areas, the 107 remains faithful to the signature Cruiser line design. On the inside though, it breaks away from the traditional Vicem mahogany interiors. The boat will head into the 2013 East Coast shows season with a US debut at FLIBS 2013.

The new 107 Cruiser epitomizes the three hallmarks of every Vicem yacht: exuding a classic look of timeless design, exemplifying the Vicem ideals for unmatched craftsmanship with a commitment to total customization, and the cold-molded method of construction. But this timeless classic design 32,50m Vicem has undergone a sophisticated makeover with a number of new refinements, thanks to Vicem’s in-house design team.

Turan Ozbakir Vicem Yacht European Sales Director refers: “the Vintage Cruiser 107 will be an outstanding boat to entertain family and friends, with interior and exterior spaces worthy of a 115footer, including an amazingly large midship, full-beam master cabin, and two extremely spacious VIPs. The giant 70 square meters flybridge is worthy of a +40 metres superyacht. Given all of these attributes, including a very comfortable crew area, as well as Rina Certification, Y Pleasure Class, it will also have great charter appeal. Those on board will enjoy the utmost luxury with a quiet and smooth ride afforded only by a cold molded mahogany hull which promise only to enhance the overall exceptional experience”. Caviglia again “Her European owner wanted a fresh, modern but warm interior, and since one of our core Vicem values is the ability to fully customize the interiors, we were able to fully meet his desires. The result is simply spectacular – our master craftsmen have interpreted “modern” by blending woods, leathers, fabrics and stones into welcoming and harmonious interiors with a fit and finish worthy of the Vicem tradition”.

“The Vicem 107 Cruiser is an ideal yacht for an owner with a large family or a heck of a lot of friends – says Gary Smith, Vicem Yachts Sales Director. “A yacht of this size can accommodate 3 couples with full VIP accommodations and an additional 4 guests in two separate staterooms (total of 10 guests), providing the discerning yachtsmen an experience that cannot be duplicated on a fiberglass vessel. With a draft of only 6’4” (1.90m), its cruising ability in the Caribbean, as well as in the Mediterranean, will provide an experience only our Flagship Vintage model can bestow on those aboard. We are very proud. It is a true testament to Vicem’s capabilities.”

A mighty and powerful looking yacht with a “double crème shade” of unrivaled prestige like its “older sister”, the 78 Cruiser – one of the 2010 Vicem successes. The Yard’s strengths are again utilized in this boat: it’s the highly specialized workforce, its obsession with wood and stainless steel craftsmanship that comes close to perfection, the engineering resources necessary for the development of its V type hard chine semi-displacement hull.

And last but not least this superyacht maintains the Yard’s DNA in custom or semi-custom production with a quality to price ratio that can be found only in Turkey.

The introduced version comes with 5 cabins for 10 guests, an “over sized” U-shape Gaggenau kitchen, king size bed in the full-beam master cabin and in the Vip cabin. Two further guest cabins propose a queen-size and a twin-bed double solution. The crew area is another sign of distinctiveness: 3 cabins (2 singles and one  double+pullman) with private toilets, double access and laundry and private area (total of 5 crew on board).

The Vicem 107 contemporary twists are complemented by an updated exterior, and shows all its cruising character: a very high bow with a large and low cockpit to face rough seas for a pleasant and comfortable cruise in any weather. All on-board detail has been handcrafted to the highest standard and expertise: mahogany toe-rail and chromed brass or stainless steel hardware are just an example.

Power arrangements are 2 x CAT C32 1,550HP Marine diesel engines, which allow the 107 Cruiser semi-displacement hull to reach cruising and maximum speeds of 17 and 21 knots, respectively. The fuel tanks have a capacity of 3,831 gal. 14,500 lt. while the water and holding tanks are 512 gal. – 1,940 lt. and 1,025 gal. – 3,800 lt., respectively and a deadrise angle on transom is 17 degree. The engine room of the Cruiser 107 is built in keeping with the tradition of Vicem of designing and executing engine rooms that are extremely well organized, well appointed and well finished so as to maximize functionality, accessibility and reliability. This tradition is a result of Vicem’s 20 years experience in the American market, where engine rooms are more often scrutinized by owners and captains to confirm the build quality of the rest of the boat. Regarding the engines themselves, Vicem chose in this particular case robust twin Caterpillar C32 in order to provide to the Owner endless hours of reliable cruising with easy maintenance requirements.

The cold molded method The building technique used to create the new 107 is the same used for all Vicem Vintage Line (classic/flybridge 52’ to 75’ – cruiser 78, 92, 107): the cold molded process. A millenary, unique construction technique which embodies all the construction methods of the Turkish historical marine tradition; a modern procedure different from traditional boat building. Based on engineered wood construction, cold-molding uses laminated mahogany (coming from managed forests) and a specific formulated epoxy resin to create the hull, decks and principal superstructures. This results in a stronger and quieter vessel with a smoother ride, with natural insulation from humidity and noise.

Vicem Yachts at Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show with US Avant-Premiere of the 80 Flybridge

Vicem Yachts, Turkish builders of luxury classic motor yachts and megayachts, arrives in Florida with the Vicem 80 Flybridge on display – first time in USA at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show this October 2012.

The 80FB is the latest in Vicem’s series of Classic, Flybridge and Cruiser motor yachts ranging from 50 to 107 feet: the Vintage Line. This yacht, with her classic look of timeless design, a living example of Vicem’s ideals for unmatched craftsmanship and their commitment to total customization and the cold molded method of construction, is the ultimate challenge for the yard and it’s members in-house yacht design team.

The 80FB is the ideal yacht for those looking for a new, sensational way of living at sea. Her main features are outstanding seaworthiness, with long range cruising and great handling as first priority in the design approach. In giving birth to this yacht, the Vicem design team has focused on creating a very comfortable “family cruising yacht”.

The flying-bridge area offers all the amenities for lovers of outdoor life. It has a sun deck, a large U-Settee table for six with storage under the seats, a wet-bar with refrigerator and additional storage lockers. The flying bridge is also provided with a very useful helm station, fully equipped with electronics, helm panel, indicators and controls. A bimini top in exterior fabric, with stainless steel supports and high end audio system with 4 speakers, completes the flying bridge.

The main deck exterior has a sun pad at the bow and another L-shaped mahogany table for six with storage under the seats. A swimming platform, in laminated teak with stainless steel fittings, adds two more areas for life on board or a berth for a launch. Details such as varnished mahogany boat-hooks and chromed hardware emphasize the legendary timeless elegance of Vicem’s Vintage yacht line.

Inside, space and light make the yacht an airy place where you can relax and enjoy the surroundings even in the hottest hours. The fabrics and materials chosen for decorating the interiors confirm all the tradition and experience that Vicem puts into its yachts. The feeling is that of a luxurious ambience with a special nautical flavor. This yacht has three cabins, all with en-suite bathrooms: one master and one VIP cabin, all with king size beds; one guest cabin, and last but not least, a bow crew cabin.

The spacious salon, a separate dining area, a pleasing optional king-sized bed guest cabin and an aft area can host up to twelve guests and two crew members. The helm station with a double seat has full access to all the controls: autopilot, exterior lighting, running lights, VHF radio, radar, GPS, plotter. The salon for total relax on board is enriched by the home theater system with a 26” LCD flat screen television.

For the interiors Vicem has chosen Anigre wood (Anigre is a tall tropical hardwood, found in West and East Africa in Guinea, Sierra Leone, the Ivory Coast, Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Angola and Zaire. This light wood belonging to mahogany family) and Wengé in order to achieve a “glistening” yacht. Laid Iroko flooring with a satin finish covers the main deck.

The very large master cabin offers all the comfort you need on board with an island king berth and an LED screen (as in all the other cabins). A wide-body saloon welcomes you inside; two lounge chairs with an ottoman and two large sofas can host up to eight guests who can enjoy the home entertainment system and its 32″ LED TV. The wheel-house is equipped with all the latest technology on the market. Autopilot, GPS and radar come as standard. The lower deck galley is provided with all possible appliances for a prestigious yacht: a cook-top with four burners, microwave, oven, refrigerator, freezer, and ice maker. Miele, Gagghenau and SubZero the brands used.

Performance for this over 24 meters yacht is not be underestimated. Her planing hull is built of cold-molded wood and epoxy, with a strip and cross planked mahogany hull skin: the 80FB has twin 1,550 HP Electronic MAN Common Rail engines that push the yacht up to a top speed of 30 knots, with a cruising speed of 24 knots. With Its’ long range cruiser character, the 75 FB enables guests to travel for 870 nm at 11,5 knots, with over 6,602 lt. of fuel and 1,302 lt. of water.

The cold-molded method The Vicem Vintage Line (Classic and Fly Bridge models, from 52’ to 80’; the Cruiser 78′, 92′ and 107’) is built using the cold-molded process.
